Sum List Application Support


User guide

  • The main screen has two root folders: 1) iCloud, 2) On My iPhone / iPad.
  • iCloud folder is enabled after the buying the upgrade through in-app-purchase.
  • Folders inside these root folders can be viewed by pressing the arrows.
  • Each root folder have three default folders inside them:
    • All iCloud / All on My iPhone (iPad) : shows all lists on the device or iCloud.
    • Lists : shows all lists without a designated folder.
    • Recently Deleted : shows all lists that have been deleted.
  • All user created folders are shown below the Lists folders. (New year, Travels, House Repairs in the example shown).
  • Numbers beside the folders show the number of lists inside them.
  • A new folder can be created by pressing the folder with plus icon at the bottom left.
  • If iCloud is enabled, a menu opens to select the root folder.
  • A new list can be quickly created by pressing the list with plus icon.
  • If iCloud is enabled, a menu opens to select the root folder.
  • The new folder will be placed in the Lists folder.
  • At the top right, three dots with circle icon shows the menu.
    • Settings : basic settings such as language selection.
    • Upgrades : in-app-purchases where you can buy the iCloud extension.
    • About Sum List : links to developer’s App Store page, or web page for support.
  • Settings : language selection can be done. Available languages will be displayed.
  • When a folder is selected in the main screen, the lists are shown.
  • The example here shows the Lists folder.

    • Select Lists… : enables the selection of the lists for further operations.

  • These functions are available for user created folders:
    • Select Lists… : enables the selection of the lists for further operations.
    • Rename Folder : changes the name of the user created folder.
    • Delete Folder : deletes the folder, moves all lists contained to the Recently Deleted folder.
  • An example shown here, one list is selected in the user created folder Travels.
  • The selected list can be moved to another folder or can be deleted.
  • Done button disables the selection.
  • As an example the list Kitchen is shown in the House Repairs folder.
  • The sample list Kitchen has six rows of entries.
  • Press the bottom right plus icon to add another row.
  • At the bottom left the sum is shown.
  • Press the Notes row to display notes for this list.
  • At the top right, three dots with circle icon shows the menu.
    • Select Rows… : selected rows can be duplicated, deleted, or (if only one row is selected) edited.
    • Edit List Title & Notes : opens page for editing the title of the list, and entering/editing notes for the list.
    • List Properties : opens the page for changing the list properties, such as unit choice, number of decimal digits, etc.
  • Edit List Title & Notes page is for editing the title of the list, and entering/editing notes for the list.
  • List Properties page is for changing the view of the list.
    • Currency, Measurement, or a Custom unit can be selected.
    • Number of decimal digits displayed can be changed.
    • Calculation at the rows can be hidden or shown.
    • Completion status can be activated to mark items in the list.
  • When the calculation is hidden only the titles and results are shown.
  • The example shows marking of completed items.
  • The sum of the list can be copied to clipboard for sharing.
  • File submenu shows the following operations:
    • Move to another folder in the same root folder.
    • Duplicate the list.
    • Delete the list. A confirmation is requested, if approved the list is moved to the Recently Deleted Folder.
